Institute of Socio-Economic Geography and Spatial Management (AMU-ISEGSM), Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznan, Poland.The Institute of Socio-Economic Geography and Spatial Management is a structural unit of the Faculty of Geosciences of Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. It employs 59 people, including 8 professors and 27 doctors representing different specialisations (social, economic and political geographers, urban and regional planners, urbanists, sociologists, economists, specialists in computer science and geoinformatics). The main research areas of the Institute are spatial management and regional analysis; regional policy and European integration; building a knowledge-based economy and society; revitalisation of cities, towns and rural areas; effect of multinational corporations and capital groups on regional and local development; innovativeness of the economy and its spatial differences in Poland and the European Union; and regional and local innovation strategies. |
